Eshowe Hills was planned and developed with the object of enhancing and improving the natural environment. No natural forest areas were destroyed. In fact more than 3000 indigenous trees have been planted since the project commenced while alien species, such as gum trees, have been, or are in the process of being, eradicated.
The result is that the rivers on the estate now flow continuously.

Bush buck, Blue Duikers and Wild Pigs can be seen at Eshowe Hills and other species of small game will be introduced once all work is completed. This will be done under the auspices of the Kwazulu Natal Wildlife Association who have been supportive and helpful.

Eshowe Hills was honoured to receive the Compleat Golfer’s “Special award for environmental awareness” as part (Show photo of award) of their 2008 Golf Course Rankings
