The Eshowe Country Club celebrated its Centenary last year and the golf course is possibly the oldest course in the country still playing on its original site.
The course was designed by the legendary Bob Grimsdell. In October 2007 the 1st nine was upgraded by Jeff Hawkes (former European Masters Champion and multiple tournament winner). Great care has been taken to keep the “Grimsdell character” of the course. The 1st nine will be open on 1sr April 2009. Jeff will start the back nine in October 2009 and it will be open on 1st April 2010.
A boardwalk has been established on the 8th hole ( 162m par 3) and runs through the forest from tee to green at a height of 5 meters. This spectacular feature can take golf carts and is absolutely unique in South Africa.
Eshowe Hills has 6 all weather tennis courts available to residents. Two of these have been fitted with floodlighting for night tennis.
Two squash courts are a popular amenity on the estate.
The town has a well used bowling club just 2 minutes from our north gate.
Lake Phobane/Goedetrouw Dam is famous for its bass fishing (ranked among the top three dams in S.Africa) and fishing tournaments are a regular event. The lake is 10 Kms from Eshowe.
